Emigrati Aiellesi negli States. Ugo Pagnotta ci lascia, ma rimangono i ricordi raccontati nel suo libro "Figure, Bozzetti di Vita Paesana sul Filo della Memoria"

Nel blog abbiamo più volte ospitato qualche scritto di Ugo Pagnotta, emigrato negli Stati Uniti nei primi anni '50. Domenica scorsa se n'è andato a 95 anni. Ci lascia un prezioso libro di ricordi, di cui abbiamo già pubblicato brani.
Qui di seguito, il necrologio.

Ugo S. Pagnotta, 95, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home in Brick surrounded by his family. Mr. Pagnotta worked as a tailor for Brooks Brothers in New York City for many years before retiring. He was a communicant of St. Dominic’s RC Church in Brick. 
Born in Aiello Calibro, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1951, settled in Brooklyn and lived there until coming to Brick in 1998. 
Mr. Pagnotta was predeceased by his brothers, Aldo and Enrico Pagnotta. Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Gertrude (Incarnato) Pagnotta; son, George Pagnotta and his wife, Lynda of Brick; daughter, Lucille Pagnotta and Esther Weatherington of Staten Island; sister, Carmela Casella of Brick; 2 grandchildren, Nicole Bruno and her husband Joe of Lakewood, and Carissa Pagnotta of Brick; and great grandsons, Dominic and AJ Bruno; and many nieces and nephews. 
Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10am on Wednesday at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.
